Atsushi presented a paper entitled “Expressing Earthquake Experiences in Second Language Poetry Writing” at AILA 2024 (Kuala Lumpur). In his presentation, he discussed how Japanese EFL students expressed and communicated their experiences of the Great East Japan Earthquake through English-language haiku poetry writing.
Atsushi’s recent paper has been published in the Journal of Literature in Language Teaching. The title of this article is “Japanese EFL students’ perceptions of composing haiku in English“.
